We share all the postcards sent to our kitties so they can see (and smell!) them while their parents are away!

"We have so many lovely cards and letters to read. Believe it or not, sometimes we even have Auntie Glo write back to our parents for us! If we want, she'll even let us use the computer type thing and we get to do email !"
..... Purrcy and Darla

Below are some actual letters written by an adorable couple of cats named Purrcy and Darla who spent the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Holidays with Gloria at the Contented Cat. They wanted to share their experience!

"Hey Darla, get off the type thing and let me use it! Hi Mom, guess what? We have some new Kitty friends coming in from Hawaii! We have lots of stories to tell them, I wonder if they'll have accents?"

"Hi Mom and Dad, it's us again, gee we hope you're having a wonderful time. We sure are looking forward to playing with you again! (Hope we could have some new toy from over there.) It's raining today and Auntie Glo won't let any of us go out because our playgrounds are soaking wet! Sooo, she's letting us play under our blankets like 'Hide and go seek'!"

"Hi, well it's us again, there've been some fun things going on here, as Auntie is now taking care of a Hampster! His name is Charlie and he told us a funny story about a place where he used to live called a pet store. It sounds a lot like this place since we have lots of birds outside and sometimes Auntie babysits goldfish too!"

" Dear Mom and Dad, we have recieved your postcards each and every month. Auntie Glo has been so busy with all the holidays. We always think of you and want you to know we are having fun. We had a great Thanksgiving and had Turkey giblets, we got to stay in the house with her and help her cook the turkey and other goodies! We have missed you both and appreciate all your beautiful cards that Gloria reads to us. Sometimes we ask her to read our cards before Cat-naps.
Christmas came along and Gloria went and decorated all of our rooms for Christmas with bows and candy canes, plus we had our own Christmas tree! Each of us had special goodies to eat before Santa Claus came, and he brought special toys for us to play with, beat up, or eat.
That was a whole lot of fun because we couldnt make out whose was whose toy.
Auntie Glo said she couldn't send any cards or letters by Pigeon because there was no address readable on the postcard you sent to us.
Well, we're going to go outside and play now, we just wanted you to know that we love you and miss you and are really looking forward to some really big hugs and kisses!
Love, Purrcy and Darla" .........................................................top of page
